En la tarde noche del pasado sábado 30 de mayo de 2026, y durante el Bay Atea Book Festival, la conocida revista Locus dio a conocer las obras ganadoras de sus tradicionales y prestigiosos premios anuales.
En la categoría de mejor novela de ciencia ficción, la obra ganadora fue LA MUERTE DE LA AUTORA de Nnedi Okorafor, que ha publicado en español Ediciones Maeva. En la categoría de mejor novela de fantasía, la obra ganadora fue THE EVERLASTING de Alix E. Harrow, que tendremos en español el próximo mes de octubre gracias Alianza Runas. Y en la categoría de mejor novela de terror, la obra ganadora fue THE BUFFALO HUNTER HUNTER de Stephen Graham Jones, que publicará en español La Biblioteca De Carfax ya en 2027. Enhorabuena a las editoriales españolas por ello.
Cada año desde 1971, la revista Locus entrega los premios literarios que llevan su nombre. Con el tiempo, sus premios se han convertido en uno de los galardones de mayor prestigio para los escritores de fantasía y ciencia ficción y un referente entre los aficionados al género. Neil Gaiman, George R.R. Martin, Orson Scott Card o Ursula K. Le Guin son algunos de los autores que más veces han resultado premiados.
